Last delivered prices
Your most recent delivered price per gallon, by fuel and county — so the next super negotiating a differential knows what the market actually did.
GOLF COURSE FUEL DESK
Where superintendents and equipment managers share what fuel actually costs — and how deliveries actually go.
Fuel is the one bill every course pays every week, and nobody talks about it in the open. This is where that changes.
Your most recent load — price, gallons, county, and how it went. Area prices only help if courses report them, so be the first in your county.
A tank or pump trick, an invoice habit, a question you want other supers to weigh in on — send it in.
Written by the Fuel Desk Team from the Fuel Desk research files, to get the first conversations started. Member reports join them as they come in.
There is no shelf price for bulk fuel. Your delivered price is assembled on delivery day: the published rack price for your terminal city and exact product, plus your distributor's differential (its margin, in cents per gallon), plus freight to your tank, plus itemized taxes and fees at the exact statutory rates.
That is why two courses in two counties can pay different prices for the same fuel on the same day — and why the honest question is never “what's your price?” but “what's your differential, and off which rack?”
Dyed diesel skips the highway fuel taxes because it is for off-road use only — and your paperwork is what proves the use. Keep it in its own labeled tank, never let it reach a vehicle registered for the highway, and keep every delivery invoice: the stack of tickets is your gallons record and your evidence if the off-road use is ever questioned.
Check that each dyed delivery's invoice carries the dyed-fuel notice — “Dyed diesel fuel, nontaxable use only” — and file it with the rest of that load's records.
