Fuel Desk Terms

The Golf Course Fuel Desk (the “Fuel Desk”) helps golf courses arrange fuel deliveries. These terms describe exactly what the Fuel Desk is — and is not.

Platform only: Stearns Mole Community operates the Fuel Desk as an ordering and introduction platform. The Fuel Desk is not a fuel seller, distributor, wholesaler, retailer, or carrier.
We never handle fuel or fuel money: Stearns Mole Community never takes title to, possession of, or storage of fuel, and never collects or holds payment for fuel. No fuel is ever sold by, delivered by, or paid to Stearns Mole Community.
The distributor is the seller of record: All fuel is sold, delivered, invoiced, and taxed by licensed Florida fuel distributors. The distributor sets the price, makes the delivery, issues the invoice, collects payment, carries the delivery and handling responsibility, and files and remits all fuel taxes.
How prices are set: Fuel prices are set by the distributor, not by the Fuel Desk. Commercial fuel pricing is formula-based — a published rack price for the terminal city and product, plus the distributor's differential and freight, plus itemized taxes and fees — and the final price is set on the day of delivery. Any price discussed before delivery is an estimate. The distributor's invoice, with taxes and fees itemized line by line, is the document of record for every delivery.
Profiles and introductions: Submitting a course fuel profile is a request for an introduction to a distributor — it is not an order, a quote, or a contract to buy or sell fuel. Any supply agreement is made directly between the course and the distributor, on the distributor's terms.
Platform fees: Courses are not charged by the Fuel Desk for fuel. If a platform fee is ever charged for Fuel Desk services, it is paid by the distributor and disclosed.
Dyed off-road diesel: Dyed diesel is for off-road, non-highway use only and must never be used in a vehicle registered for highway use. The buying course is responsible for using and storing every fuel lawfully, including maintaining the separate labeled tank dyed fuel requires.
Distributor responsibility: Fuel quality, availability, delivery timing, and invoice accuracy are the responsibility of the delivering distributor. Questions or disputes about a delivery go to the distributor named on the invoice.
